Current Position: Has his own catering company, Le Chef; his own line of food products; and has written a book entitled “Chef Piñeiro y Su Alta Cocina”
Enrique is known throughout Puerto Rico as the former host of the very popular cooking program, “Operación Chef” where he worked from 2007 to 2009. Enrique is a very talented chef, an excellent student and is always willing to cooperate with the Scholarship Foundation in every way that he can.
Enrique received a scholarship in 2001 for his culinary studies at the well-known Culinary Institute of America in New York. He took good advantage of the opportunity offered to him and did his internship with the famous Spanish Chef, Santi Santamaria of El Raco de Can Fabes near Barcelona. He also participated while still a student at the Culinary Institute of America with Chef Santi at the James Beard House in New York. Upon graduation Enrique returned to the island to begin his own business. He was a member of the 2004 gold medal Puerto Rico National Culinary Team. Enrique currently hosts a radio program and continues with his catering business.
