Career Path:

Frances graduated from the hotel and restaurant Bachelor’s degree program at UPR, Carolina in 2007. Upon graduation she accepted a full time position at the Ritz-Carlton, San Juan Hotel & Casino in guest relations. She had been working part time at the Ritz-Carlton since 2004.

With help from the Scholarship Foundation in 2008, Frances began Master’s degree studies in hospitality and tourism management at Florida International University and held part time jobs in Florida hotels including the Ritz-Carlton while she studied. She graduated in 2009.

Upon graduation, Frances worked as a Management Trainee at La Concha Hotel and in 2010 she moved to the Park Hyatt in San Diego as Assistant Front Office Manager. In 2012 she transferred to the Hyatt Regency Chicago in housekeeping administration. In 2013, Frances joined the opening team as Operations Manager for the new Hyatt Place Chicago River North. She returned to Puerto Rico in 2014 as the new Housekeeping Director at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel & Casino.
